Brick building falls in and pins legs to concrete
It’s days drinking piss before they manage to find me
Wake chained to bed, with a throat full of plastic
I choke out one word, and that word is 'bastards'
Sit opposite six peers and one bloated asshole
Admonished like a child, while they hold me in shackles
If given free rein, they’d hang me from a tree
But seeing they can’t, they do the very next best thing
Find a hole, so deep, where no light is shone
They drill ten more feet, and tell me I’m home
It was there in that place, alone in my box
I learned there’s a reason some things go untaught
The way world leans, its curve, its axis
The satellite brain, and its time spent in orbit
The grave, and the millstone, the body left folded
The time in the sun, before it exploded
Stone cut from mountains, mountains cut from ice
The arm left extended, and the harm it invites
