Wait For The Fade

not yet adapted to my case
i’ve paced it several times as so i’m inclined
the last one mirrored my own gaze
and when i’d sit at home it almost seemed mine
all i want’s to dig my heels in metters deep
and never leave
i let it rot in hopes it’ll pass
out now of the old house

i had a hope i would adapt
it was this way before but nothing reminds
me of loyalty of late
the street is much too nice and just to pass time
where i sleep shouldn’t matter i am safe —
i am sheltered
space in surrounding
all the same age
watch as they’re drowning
