Last night we danced home again on our hands
Through a water labrynth like two tarzans
Through crippled neighbourhood in flight
With its slopes and shadows and streams of light
I carried you home on my back
Strangling a trail
Swooping the heights
Screaming still so in love
I woke, fingers touching a cold human hand
I tore my pillows away
Too frightened to see
That the dead hand belonged to me
I’d gone and left it behind
Still back in the deep
Flying you home in our beautiful sleep
