Goliath

I had heard the rumors
A thousand times before
But this time it was different
And then I knew for sure
Goliath stood before me
A giant among men
And every fear I’d ever had
Was embodied all in him
His eyes were full of fire
And hatred running wild
He was Satan’s champion
But I was Israel’s child
A thousand eyes upon us
Of a thousand frightened men
And as he raised his mighty spear
I knew his life would end
Goliath, you are mighty
But you cannot win this war
Whn the one who stands befor you
Is standing in the Lord
The power and the glory
Are mine in Yahweh’s name
And, Goliath, in this hour
You’re the next giant slain
