RUNNING IN CAUSTIC RAIN

Dashing thru a metropolis, he was chosen
No longer frozen in awe- their falls are omens
They’re after him- hear the patter on gravel
Sprinting in the plaza, past the market, thru the gala
Only incurring the wrath of the illiterate water enthusiasts
He’s losing this race against the moodiest mob he’s ever witnessed
O well, business is still business
As he leaps over various vehicles
He reflects upon his statements about being unbeatable
Sprinting so silently, Savan speeds past the stampede
Damn these shoes are nearly torn to the seams, but he must hurry
Before the puddles eat him to bone in a corrosive flurry
Mother Nature’s chemicals spray to melt thru his fades
If he doesn’t end it today, his end is today
Taking shelter under an outcrop, he made it
If he’d been slower, his body and soul would be separated

Hours and hours pass

Drowning in showered bath
The clouds will now spout their wrath
The atmosphere took umbrage with our civilization
So the clouds brought unto us annihilation
A feud with cellular bodies and organic matter
Descend, maim, murder, and then splatter
The clouds' tears slice thru crowds like the blade of Ronin
Hydrosulfuric rain forcing bodies open
I feel sorry for all the victims of the rain
This ungodly assault is causing lots of pain
Disfigure spines
Cripple some minds
Rip into lines
The missiles of lies disfigure spines
Bombard our craniums and cause necrosis
The rain used to give life, but now it controls it
Murderous solvents divebomb the species
Until every poor soul is shattered to pieces
