Pray Awake

I may be a man this time around
But you’d better be sure
That when I take off this body
There’s no gender to be found
When I’m looking in the direction of the sun
You’d better be sure
That I’m not just staring
No I am talking
With the One who guides
And reflects the light
Heal the body
Clean the mind
Open the heart
To know the soul inside
Spirit come in
And bless the way
For my sisters and brothers
May we all stay awake
When she’s walking she is a pilgrim of the
Earth
But you’d better be sure
That she is no tourist
Though she came to learn
And to share these gifts
That she came in with
