At one time I decided to tryand turn on the happenings
They told me things got worse — than I ever thought they were
And it hurts to watch
Have I turned soft? it’s too sick outside to wander off
What are they feeding us?

Does it seem to us they got a dream to bust
Are they the first to make history crush?
Choke down your negativaty — Your T.V. set is pessimisticto me
I still got some brain to feed — News on the tube to succeed
On my parade they have peed
This bruise that sticks to me
And it hurts to watch
Have I turned too soft? Too sick outside to wander off?

Luckily
I can just turn off what it is that I don’t want to watch
And I feel a whole lot better
My T.V. friend is dead
