If the homeless man takes a picture of me
How will he take it in the first place?
If he’s naked and dirty, how should I feel?
Should I move or just stay still?
But he could show it to the rest
I don’t look or feel my best
I could take a little glance
But he throws rocks as I walk passed
I try to ignore
But thats why he’s throwing rock forward
Let the man live

If the homeless man suddenly disappeared
Would I still be grateful for what I have?
And why the fuck did it have to get to that?
If the homeless man was my son or my dad
Or my brother or a friend oh would we treat him the same?
If the streets that he lives on could speak to him
And the pavement would stop cracking thin they’d say oh

When the lights in the city
And the mountains from afar
See me crying in my car
They take a minute to pause
Oh when the fire ignites
We evacuate at night
What do we take with us
Running knives is too dangerous
