King's Lineage

Oh he whose songs of adventure love
and you who hope to rise above
let our poor tale of history prove

his lancastrian blood gave him a chance
on bosworth field he did advance
and won the throne of England.
He took elizabeth of york to wife
and ended the dynastic strife
for she did give this king henry life
who happily rules our England.
Henry eight married katherine
and to leave her out would be a sin
for her royal blood will throw within
the next monarch of England.
Her parents isabella and ferdinand
sent columbus off to a foreign land
across the sea a new world so grand
which could strengthen spain and England.
