let me stay here for a while
it’s been a long time in denial
you try to conceive me
i’m afraid it’s not easy
every question asked
is a waste of breath
i try to deceive you
that i’m fine and i need you
but that’s not true
i never needed you
or anybody else
just let me be shelved
dragging me down, down to the ground
i feel a weight inside my chest
this weight inside my chest
keeping me here, left with my fears
hold me in this world
still i don’t see for what it’s worth
leaving’s the way out
after years there is no doubt
whenever i try to get in
i keep on falling on my chin
i’m going somewhere else
let me be shelved
