Echoes

Can you hear me call?
Can you hear me far away?
In the darkness can you hear my cry?
Just a thread of hope to guide
No one to be found
No one here to show the way
Living shadows dance on darkened walls
Of my constant eventide
As the darkness comes to envelop me
In my tomb, the reaper to beckon me
My time and pride competing for
Unseen passing grace
As I raise my arms in front of me
In my head, the voices are calling me
Or is my cry for sympathy
Simply fading away
Fading away
I hear echoes simply to frighten me
In the search for reaching my destiny
I cry out for all and eternity
Can you hear me?
Can you touch me?
Can you call my name?
Can you touch the sound?
Can the voices be my path?
Are the soundwaves drawing me away?
Or is freedom in my mind?
Are the echoes real?
Can they guide out on their path?
Like a lamp light drawing me away
