a rose for time
can be a thing of beauty
when i saw roses
i would think of you
if you only knew
the things
you used
to do to me
how you made me feel
each time you came in view
a thing of beauty
is a joy forever
but when a flower dies
it wilts and goes away
when you cheated,
a tie was cut and severed
like a wilted flower

are tasting sour

is cold now
what was once a rose
is now a wilted flower
thorns can hurt you
when you get
too close to them
not nearly quite as bad
as you hurt me
sometimes thorns aren’t seen
because they’re hiding
just like the lies
that you’ve been telling me
there are many thorns
within a dozen roses
there are many lies
you hide deep in your heart
my eyes would only see
the things of beauty
while yours were looking
at another part
