DREAM WARRIORS

This is for my brothers that wear The Five K’s
For my brothers that pray 5 times a day
For my people who know life it isn’t great
Still we give thanks to our Mothers for the price they paid
They tried to teach us that this world is tough
So don’t be mad at yourself and try and curse your luck
'Cause you fell for somebody who didn’t earn your trust
Now you’re trying to find a way you can reverse the love
But you should let it go let it breathe
Set yourself a couple of goals to achieve
Roll up your sleeves and sow a couple of seeds
and grow into the person who you hoped to be
I let some people think they had broken me
But you can only rise up once you know defeat
So forgive me if this seems obvious

Nightmares when I close my eyes
There’s a pain that burns inside
Not afraid to fight each day
There’s a light that guides my way
This is for my people meditating
Trying to find Heaven on Earth before they take it
For anybody looking for someone to come and save them
Your problems disappear if you just turn around and face them
Have a little Faith & Patience
It’s way more important than fame and status
They root for the underdog and hate the favourite
But I’ve been both so I know the game is changing
When instead of saying good luck they say good try
Instead of opening doors they’re saying
goodbye
But like Chucky I’ve always been a Good Guy
Judge a man on his merits not looks wise
Tomorrow isn’t promised no, we could die
Every day you wake up know you should try

Writing for me is like riding the beat
Like without fighting where Tyson would be
I’m hungry for this but they won’t let him eat
Shackles round my ankles they won’t set him free
I’m a slave to the business
Just 'cause you see me on TV I ain’t making them riches
I came with a sickness and this is the cure
Can’t sleep like I ain’t been bitten before
They all agree that what this boy is spitting is raw
And with the Dream Warriors the vision is pure.
