Still Alive

My whole damn school, dropping the jokes
Too white to rap, too fat to rap, too weird to make it work
So I went BACK to the drawing board
BACK to rapping back and forth
I WORKED to get myself to a point
Where I get love and support
But my hometown was dead
There was no music in the air
… Still no body cared
Right there’s that when I went and prepared
To get my music on the interest, I posted it upon YouTube
Not being rude, but I sat back, I watched that and I got views
I felt like a king, like I finally found my reason my reason be here
Everything so clear, no longer would I get called weird
Then one thing led to another, got mad people saying they love it
Got mad people hitting me up saying they wanna hear loads more of it
And then rest was history, went and made all of the hits you see
But stopped it all to go to school, the reason why? it’s a mystery

When I look up to the SKY
I realize why I’m still Alive

Nah I ain’t gonna lie, those days were the darkest of my life
Felt like a part of me had died, along with 100 hundred sleepless nights
Cause no longer was I living my dream, Instead I was living somebody else’s
Living alone in a cold dry place, FROZEN, yeah man something like else’s
Can’t get no help, cause I’m too damn proud, to admit my pain
So instead I admit defeat, hang up my coat, and end my reign
Meanwhile, everybody else is winning, everybody else is singing
I’m sat writing essays, when there’s songs that should have been written
Nah I ain’t gonna lie, at the time I hated life
Depression had taken over and a part of my had died
But then I had an epiphany, so right now hope you’re listening
Opened up the curtains saw the sky fucking glistening
I felt so small, like my don’t even matter
‘Cause it’s true, should be stepping forward, not stepping backwards
So any time that you’re down in the world, just look up to the sky
See the beauty in your eye, get back up and kill it LIKE
