The Aztecs reigned supreme
Deep in the heart of Mexico
A rogue regime
They loved to party hard
Fun at any price
Particularly with regard
To human sacrifice
Throwing the slaves into their graves
Buried alive, never revive
Lock up the children, make them cry
Starving their bodies, watch them die
Draped to the stage, opn ribcage
Torn apart to steal the hart
Ancient idols soaked in human blood
Placed on a sacrificial stone
The priest would cut through flesh and bone
Distract with pain the victims groan
Everybody liked to know

Instead of flower power
They had the flower war
And early morning at ghastly hour
They climbed Templo Mayor
To honor the god of fire
They would light up a stake

They watched the victims bake

Cannibalize, Aztec cuisine
Exuberant, yet high in protein
