Pull It Down

that excites the waters- believe me
it’s left me with nothing
and it’s filled me-to empty
everything i had, on which to live
never though it would be so tentative.
help me to believe in something
so i can pull it down here with me
devoured by my negativity
i know that it won’t change a thing
and i buried it all just to share their side
still, my position remains a standby
