Loophole

Yet again here I stand.
My back against the wall
and I pretend
that it is all good,
no cloud in the sky.
Everything is dark
and I cant get why.
I try to hold on tight
but support slips away
when I look ahead
with this dead man’s gaze
trapped in this moment
stripped from a way out
I can hope what I want
but who will hear me now?
I am so done with this
You can’t fire me, I quit!
This prolonged torment!
I am no fucking masochist!
O hell fucking no!
sometimes you just gotta have hope
for the hope of having hope someday
You just have to wait for that moment
when there is that loophole to jump into
I’ve had my darkest moments.
I’ve had my brightest days.
I’ve had all the hope, I can hope for
but nothing changed anyway.
My world gets smaller and smaller,
No room to breath,
I’m choking on the illusion
of opportunity!
