Well, you did it again, showed up in a red dress
When you’d rather be in Levis and some funky old shoes
Dressing up for someone, tryin' to make an impression
So he doesn’t have a notion of the real you
Turning and twisting, hiding in corners
Never believing what you got is enough
But how can he love you if he never sees you

Love is a strange thing, love makes you willing
To be a chameleon for th sake of your heart
Makes you keep as a scret what you are on the inside

We all know fear of rejection is a human thing
But in the shadows love will never really bloom
Unless there’s honesty
That’s all it really needs
So turn all the lights on, let go of pretences
And run with the chances, just be who you are
