I am just a fool
An imposter and a fake
Like the Lady of the Lake
I’m drowning in the waves of my deceit
But rescued by your face each time we meet
If I tell you the truth at last
Would I lose your esteemed affection?
Would you hate me and curse my name?
I’d only have myself to blame
So why upset you now
When we can still be friends
