Mama’s worried all the time
She tells everyone she’s fine
But she’s hurting bad and worried so

There’s a rumbling below
I don’t see, an unnatural glow
People with nowhere to go
And nothing in their eyes
We ain’t seen daddy for a while
He walked away, his worried smile
Was the memory he gave to me
We don’t know where he’s gone

People in their stylish clothes
They look at us and turn up their nose
