I tell you I’m happy
But it isn’t so
Staring at the walls
Of our new found home
Where does the money come from
To pay the rent?
Equate the amount earned
With the effort spent
Taking the first step
Wasn’t so difficult
I just seemed to drift
Into the situation
Taking the last step
Isn’t so easy
In the final few footsteps
Into domestication
Whatever happened
To my rebellious nature?
Wash it down the sink
With the dirty water
Mentally years ahead of my age
A fictional father
To a son and daughter
