Salt and Spoon

Let’s sail across the summer days
let’s sail across the sunshine
out of the blue and into space
we’ll travel to the far banks
our souls in white
just you and I alone
Let’s lay aside the salt and spoon
such is the wont of sailors
all the sea flowers are in bloom
stretching out their petals
while we’re traveling on
to a place where we can rest
