Flame To The Moth

I long for the summer
Long for the sun and touching my face
I’ll open my eyes and let it burn every splinter
I’m leashed to the storms on it’s way to my heart
And i have this coming every day of my life
This is where i stop fighting, eyes open wide

I once had blue eyes, hungry and white
Now they are black from this dark age of lies
We’re all privatized, industrialized
We capitalize on the themes in our lives
Eyes searing with sorrow
Burning with anger and passion and lust
The swift wing of thoughts
Of a wildless rapture
The soil of defiance
And the firm ground of trust
But i am pushed, here in this world god saved
Where everything’s for sale, from nature, all the stars, down to dna
And i can gladly say, that i’ll be the first to break a norm anyday, anyway
And the rapture of the race towards to dumbity and it tracks all the radio of
god and prey…

Now they are blackened from this modern life
All privatized, industrialized
A failure, offensive and soon to be thrived
If i stop for air
