Pulling Teeth Perhaps

Perhaps that we devise a method
To convince him of displeasure
Distate in mouth of those around him
Cannot forget what he has spoken
Perhaps that we take course of action
To dissuade him, endure complacent
Distrusting thought beside what’s given
Will not forget what has been spoken
Perhaps that we design a reflex
For pulling teeth too, not that simple
Disrupt the basis, foundation order
Reminded always of what’s been spoken
What a scene
So diseased
It’s like pulling teeth
