Ephemeral days
Short lived days
In this enigmatic haze
I can’t even appraise
A cacophony of feeling
In a captivating place
I can’t survey this city
'Cause I’ll be gone without a trace
I had a vague conception
Of what I might perceive
I knew it’d be beatific
Didn’t realize I’d never wanna leave
Took a plane to Barcelona
Ambled down the streets
The antiquity intrigued me
I felt licentious as I thought about
The people I could meet
Embarking on this sojourn
An odyssey it would be
Flagrantly elated
Can’t dissuade me, erroneously
I had a vague conception
Of what I might perceive
I knew it’d be beatific
Didn’t realize I’d never wanna leave
Surrounded by novelty
The profusion of what might be
Confounded by modesty
And what it could impart to me
The city endures forever
But I can’t linger, I have to abscond
I can’t prolong my time here
So tomorrow I’ll be moving on
