It’s hard to talk to people who remember what I say
I guess I need an amnesiac priest or something

It seems so simple but they just don’t get it

Nobody has their consciences clean

This family thicker than blood
The way we grew together, roots twisted together
And everybody thinks what they shouldn’t think
Everybody does what they shouldn’t do
Everybody wants what they shouldn’t want

Maybe I’m wrong but they just don’t get it
