I miss 4am drives through the country
And the diners open all hours of the day
I even miss the bad luck and the controversy
That made all of the good times worth the wait

I’m lucky to have met all the people I did meet
But I’m scared down to my bones

I miss drive-in movies by the shoreline
Where the old abandoned boardwalk lays to rest
I must have rode that rollercoaster hundreds of times
Before businesses came and left their mess
