Water from Water

The shepherd brings the wolf a lamb to fuck.
Holding a boulder over his own head.
Arms quivering, he returns home to his dead wife.
The impregnated lamb breathes its last.
It splits in half and the Earth opens.
Trumpets deaden the air of the weeping wolf,
Whose tears are firmament, separating
Water from water.
