When I was six, I walked around my yard
Thinkin' about Larry Bird
He was the best player in the world
No one ever said a word
Mad about that amazing young man
Who I very much admire
For his dedication, tencity, and unrelenting desire
To win the game and it’s a shame
That he had problems with his back
And in '89, his shins weren’t fine
Without him his team just cracked
For Lakers fans, Bird’s injuries
Were like colonists having sick Tories
Cuz that meant for Magic Johnson and James Worthy
They could have more victories
And the Celtics' front office, they felt that
We oughta rearrange things
So they went and traded Danny Ainge
