Grizzly in my mouth
I wear a big buck hat pulled over my eyes

I keep a Kershaw buck knife sharp as a tack
I got some chickens in the back
And a bull named Cadillac
Tater fields five acres and a hillside

I got an 83 Chevrolet sittin in my driveway
A spring fed pond that we dip into on summer days
Welcome to the South
Flag watching it fly

I got kids runnin round with diapers and some boots on
Momma’s in the kitchen
And she’s bout to put the stew on
Paper plates sweet tea and some home fries

Throwin shoes on the weekend
Hear the click clank
Send a youngin to the cooler
Grab dad another cold drink
Bug zapper and some laughter
When them skeeters die

Banjos guitars sittin round a campfire
22 shootin beer cans off a truck tire
It all starts at a quarter til five

You can probably find me wearing
Flannel and some overalls
Probably got a pocket full of
Duck and some turkey calls
5 acres and a brand new doublewide

Radio blast Hank Merle and some Coe
And I probably didn’t use a tag killin that doe
Either way hot grease drop her down and she’s fried
