Gravel (Interlude)

We used to ride our bikes through the old subdivision
When it wasn’t yet built, we would waste our days
And now it’s all built up and all the houses look the same
But honestly I think that’s okay
And if the rain comes down I won’t be whining
I can stay inside with the windows open
We can go outside and look up to the sky
Sometimes I’m just happy that I’m alive
