My broken up speech to the ocean
As it holds the sun on it’s shoulders
I’m waving goodbye as my words chase it away
I’m choking up bits of history
My swollen eyes at the sight of it’s mystery
I’m wondering now if this is all subsequent
And it’s strange I still fear that
There’s no point in being here

The change is in the needles that are counting down time
