Memories prey on the lifeless,
Stop moving and from inside you’ll wane.
Deep in my heart was a fire,
Yet in the smoke remains only your face.
«Just carry on… Move on…» they say,
But I can’t turn my back on what I’ve known.
Where are you now? Will you seek me?
It seems no light will shine as how you could.
