Pizza in Jail

Little killers in a video landscape,
No one loses you just rewind the tape,
A new fad for the bad boys,
An old game played with new toys,
Daddy’s guns their new joystick,
Bully beware now there’s no one he can’t lick,
It’s much worse than a crying shame,
Only the innocent to blame.
Given up one thru seventh Heavens,
Lost this level and went straight to Hell,
Come to find there is no reset button,
Come to find they don’t serve pizza in jail.
Just another symptom of the age,
Just an easier way to bleed the rage,
A perfect stance for gun control,
No it’s that filth they watch that’s damned their soul, Meanwhile the kid
doesn’t even understand why he aches,
He just wants to bend his heart a little before it breaks,
He knows where that gun’s at and he knows it’ll put you away,
He just doesn’t realize that it’s forever not just today.
Crying and hugging mommy thru the bars,
Her little jailbird; held without bail,
She can’t do anything; perhaps she never could, Can’t even get them to serve
her baby pizza in jail.
But now there’s five other mommies out there that will never know,
What it’s like to watch their children grow,
What once used to would have been another class clown,
Wrapped his finger’s flesh around a fantasy and gunned it down,
There is a lesson here; one that should have never been learned,
But it’s one that we have pitifully and painfully earned,
Kids guilty enough to blow someone all to Hell,
And innocent enough to ask for pizza in jail
