Mayday
The mirror shows a face I don’t recall
Heyday
A younger face was hanging on the wall
And I never got to say goodbye
Where does all of Sunday go?
Read the paper, see a show
Pray to someone I don’t know
Now I’m one day older
Birthday
And I can’t fit the candles on the cake
That’s okay
I don’t want to blow them all out anyway
Yes, I’ll save my breath
Mother’s day
How can this be, for I am still a child
Judgment day
Couldn’t we delay this for awhile
