We were happy in Texas
We got news that her daddy was ill
So we planned our exit
Many tears my mother would cry
Without her grandson’s laughter
Time flew by and a month before we left
She was diagnosed with cancer

Well I came here for my family but I think it’s time to go

We kept the house and made it a B&B
For Jen and Greg to look after

My wife’s new job pays better now with better benefits
And the little guy is learning how to speak his mom’s language
