Looking out the window at this blanket of snow,
At the peacefulness of this cold wonder
My body’s aching, but right next to you it’s warm, unlike the air out there
this cold December.
I can’t sleep, for my mind is not at rest and I know there’s something stirring
in my heart

My head is spinning and I need some peace tonight
Far away places keep me here in this daze
I can’t tell which way the wind is blowing
