I once heard a boy who said «god is asleep»
I ripped off my clothes and i started to weep
As i cried out and yelled and i stamped my feet
To wake him up
I once heard a girl who said that «god is dead»
My soul started shaking and so did my head
And i could not protest because i lost my voice
And my world started to rumble
I went to the doctor, i went to the shrink
They gave me some pills, and they told me to think
They suggested to me that i’d lay down and rest
It would pass in year maybe two
