When a longing that was made to thrive
Once made alive, it began to wither
Saw your beauty rare so as to alarm despair
Dark and aware and I drew you hither
With reverent thought and eyes a-brim
I’m lost as I now behold
This vision of, no thought of love
But days of gold, fresh with hope
And eyes of black, skin like honey
Sweet and soft to hold me aloft
To swoon and sing to wring and strum
Now for you on the wood and string

If you allow this reverie
I cannot help but render thee
My striving prose which will disclose
My weakness and unwillingness
To fight against this agony
I conjured you and oh, now I am lost

My phantom seed, my devilish need
