Drive, sole to the floor
Like stomping out fires
Kindled with care
I’ve been here before
Sifting through the ashes
In search of something more
To justify all my destructive intentions
When I reach my limit will I know
Lucid daydreams
Take ahold of my sanity
And I think about closing my eyes
And taking my hands off the wheel
Fall to my knees
Diminish my sense of security
All that I see
Are demons in the red lights
Staring back at me
Stop running away
Get a grip on your mind
Before it escapes
Block the light of day
If that’s what it takes
To make yourself awake
