Here on a rock, sat facing the sun
Even though it’s just one to one
It seems there’s such distance
Boats all around in the sea so blue
They float there between me and you
But still no assistance
They know not to come
It’s over and done
They know I’m the one
Who caused this distance
Sonars and radars they bring no news
Even though they know there’s no use
But still they all listen
So many dots there across the screen
But still there’s no sign there of me
They know I’ve no worth
To row out from shore
And so I must go
So near
