Capillaries

Just as capillaries of the leaf
Feed verdant blooms & cycle through
Just as the swelling of the seas
Are roiling shades of muddy blue
I’ve gone to find a proxy
So don’t buy the line he sells you
Just as the reason is escaping us
I catch your eye & fully recall
The way perfection is so unjust
It fills up every way that we fall
