This planetary anatomy
Erupts from a rupture,
Screaming out guilty names.
The basis and structure of all they had nurtured
Lapses and folds in the face of a flood.
The light and the darkness
Burn brightly to blackness.
An insatiable, insidious maw.
Tormenting the masses
To close on their axis,
Drained to banality’s awe.
Merely connecting the lines proved wrong,
