It’s only fair to warn you
there’s a trainwreck in my heart,
and I would likely sabotage a perfectly good thing.
See I was gonna write you back,
but then you pissed me off so you can wait.
You might think I make this up,
I’m a stormin' in my teacup.
Make no mistake I’ll make no bones about it.
Well not on purpose anyway,
and I won’t be held to blame.
Or made out to be a criminal by you.
I’m like a loaded mousetrap,
or a hairpin trigger.
I will bite.
I will scratch.
There’s no tellin' what I’ll do.
It’s a bad state I’m in.

In a hundred years I hope that found inner peace I’ve read about.
I know they say that heaven lies within.
Right now I can’t seem to quiet down this hurricane inside so if you want me
you hold steady for the storm.
