Mary's Wish

She must have cried herself to sleep
Knowing what she could not keep
Would be her Son
The Holy One
Just a little virgin girl
Whose Child would, one day,
Save the world
It hurt her soul, but she let Him go
Though for now He’d be ok
I can almost hear her say
I wish that I could hold You
