I Watch The Ships Go By

A box of paints, a poem or two
Sit in the corner of my room
Maybe one day I’ll find a way
To do all the things that I want to do
And I won’t have to be a dreamer anymore
I sit and watch the ships go by
They get to sail away, I wonder why can’t I
Sail away too
Into the sky it looks so blue
I would like to sail away too
I have a list of all the things I’d like to see
Before the end of my life comes to reclaim me
And I could touch the moon if it wanted me to
I’d run away and become a planet too
Don’t want to be a dreamer anymore
So many things I want to do
Into the sky so blue…
