Change In Me

I was broken and downhearted
A captive to my sin
Without knowing that I even had a need
But the Father revealed it
A love that broke my heart
Through a cross that broke the chains
And set me free
And by His grace mighty power
I’m getting stronger by the hour
All because His love lifted me
There’s been a change in me
I feel it everyday
There’s been a change in me
What more can I say
I’ve got a brand new way of walking
And a brand new way of talking
He’s given me the gift of eternity
It’s easy to see that
Jesus made this change in me
Oh, thank You, Lord
All the places that I traveled
In hope of finding peace
Just don’t have the same attraction anymore
And the things that I treasure
To satisfy my soul
Just don’t seem to matter like before
And by His grace and might power
I’m getting stronger by the hour
All because His love lifted me
Repeat Now the old life I lived is passed away
And now my heart has been made new
And I thank God for the difference
For He has turned my life around
And what He’s done for me He’ll do for you
You made a change in me
This change in my heart
Now I’ve go a brand new start
Now I’m walking in your light
