A Nice Peaceful Scene

Man:
All of a sudden, I wasn’t nearly as sleepy as I thought
I reached for my cigarette under my pillow
And then I heard the tiniest sound
(Woman: I don’t know)
Someone was trying to fit a key into my door
I heard a quick movement in the hall
I grabbed the gun and raced to the door
Well, it was empty
Nothing but closed doors with numbers on ‘em
Five seconds ago I was close enough to death to smell it
Who’d it been?
Funny thing, I wasn’t laughing anymore
The only sound was a guy in one of the rooms whimpering in his sleep
A nice peaceful scene
Woman:
I don’t want to think anymore!
Man:
I wasn’t quite unconscious, but somehow I just didn’t feel like getting up!
