I’d hold you tight until you dreamed
If these empty arms could bind you
I would bind you to the broken parts of me

I’d watch your lips as they spoke my name

I would love and swear I’d never love again
I never focused on the time
Now I’m believing all the lies
Now I’ve got to face the choices that I made
I dug my own grave
I always walked the line of lonely
And swore it just wasn’t my time
I thought the music kept me holy
But it was me that built the wall for them to climb
Oh, I regret the time I’ve wasted
My womb is now a vacant bed of dreams
And all those childish thoughts have faded
These words are now my only legacy
I never focused on the time
