Slowly, Slowly, walks my Grandad leaning hard upon his stick
wait for me my lad says Grandad I’m too old I can’t be quick
Mother goes to work each morning this is how she walks along
she is not so old as Grandad
she walks fast, her legs are strong
When to school I have to hurry often down the road I run
Then how fast my feet are moving
